Like the crown hood for Tristan, again I took the owl masterhood logo and made a 3D print file for a block stamp. I printed the stamp, and used block printing fabric ink to imprint the logo onto the hood.
But I took this a step further and designed a roman-style square decorative border stamp as well, and block printed the trim as well. Heppin likes roman themed history and garb, so this seemed appropriate and personal.
The effect is beautiful. Through the last two hoods, I learned that printing on linen and wool result in slightly different textures. And also that block printing itself produces a certain effect that is both unpredictable and full of old character.
