Embroidered emblem. Round-style hood, longer in back than in front. I also made it fully reversible, since Fanin loves to play well-garbed monsters and I thought this could also double as a plain black field hood. The gold trim was particularly tricky, as I decided to applique it using a folded edge technique, and straight stitching close to the folded edge. It was all curves, so tricky, but the result was worth it.
You can see the applique trim prepared, ready to pin and stitch.
I designed the pattern, making the front long enough to hold a big emblem, but short enough to not get in the way of arm use. The back is longer for style. The hood is full, round, and loose.
