Master Dragon - Dom Lawrence

I've learned that I love embroidery and stitched/appliqued trim together, or block printing, but I don't like mixing block printing with embroidery or applique.  With that in mind, I decided make this hood all block printed.  Dom Lawrence earned his dragons as an Illuminator - scroll making - and his personal heraldry includes a flame, so I designed and 3D printed a flame border stamp for his hood (as well as the phoenix and dragon stamp).

I knew Dom Lawrence would like a liripipe hood (the long tail!)

For trims, I make several stamps of different lengths.  Long ones to speed things up, and shorter ones for tighter spaces.
