Student Council
Student Council was a major part of my school year since I am president of my sophomore class. For one of our projects, I created a food share table, where students could save food by placing their extra packaged food on the table where anyone could take from. Extras would go to classrooms or for consumption after school. We also conducted a bake sales, sophomore spirit week, and a raffle to fundraise. I also attended citywide student council meetings throughout the year.
I would rate myself a competent-exemplary. I had to network with staff members to get our projects approved and running, and guided my student council peers. I took responsibility when things didn't go as planned or were not on schedule, managed my time to promote our projects, and set high goals for myself and my council members. I can use the knowledge and experience I gained to guide my work in Student Council next year. I took initiative in getting my part done even when other members didn't and keeping a strong commitment. I could have done a better job of getting the other members to each do their part, however, so I did not have to take on many of the tasks myself.
