Adam Richard Seger, a pioneer of the farm-to-bar movement, earned his CCP, Certified Culinary Professional, from The International Association of Culinary Professionals and his Advanced Sommelier accreditation from The Court of Master Sommeliers. He is known in the industry for using a chef's approach in the bar.

At present, Adam Richard Seger oversees operations for three LUSH Food & Drink locations in Chicago and manages product development for New York-based Adya Global. To share his knowledge and experiences with many, he is currently working on his first book, "Drink Like You Eat: A Foodie's Guide to Beer, Wine & Cocktails."

Adam Richard Seger has shared his time and talent for fundraising for Meals on Wheels, Share our Strength, Alex's Lemonade Stand, The Art Institute of Chicago, and The National Tropical Botanical Garden in Kaua'i. Taking after his mentors Michelin Star Chef Serge Knapp, author Gaz Regan, and Master Bartender Dale DeGroff and his leadership professors at Cornell Hotel School, he pays forward the knowledge he has gained by teaching, training, and mentoring countless sommeliers, bartenders, entrepreneurs, and managers to help them pursue better opportunities.

Adam Richard Seger has also been a resident guest lecturer on Wine & Spirits at Sullivan University and a speaker at The National Restaurant Show, Hotel Ezra Cornell, The International Association of Culinary Professionals, and multiple beverage conferences. As a creative outlet, he has created and curated cocktail and beverage features for both fundraisers and the openings of major exhibits for The Art Institute of Chicago and, most recently, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The adopted son of an Episcopal priest, Adam Richard Seger grew up in Baton Rouge, where he honed his skills and love for culinary arts. He has a life partner of 12 years and two older sisters, one a Coach and School Teacher and the other an Episcopal Priest.
