Prepositions: 

•  l is attested in the sense of ‘to’ and ‘for’ (KJA 232); 

• ʾl occurs as ‘towards’ (XJB 31, KJC 310, 539);  as ‘on’ (AMJ 64) and as ‘for’ (KnEG 1, 2 etc.); 

• b as ‘in’ (KJA 24, 46 etc., see Ch.4.E.1), ‘with’ (KJA 20) and as ‘by’ of instrument (by means of) (KJC 139); 

• dn, Ar. dūna, occurs by the meaning ‘without’ (KJB 138); 

• ʿn as ‘after’ (KJC 138)58 and 

• mn as ‘from’ (KJC 641).
