Jibbali (Shehri: Gəblɛ̄t; Omani Arabic: الجبالي, lit. 'the language of the jibāl [mountains]'), is a Modern South Arabian language - located in the Dhofar Governorate in southern Oman.

Hismaic script is named after Hisma Desert, where it was mainly used, along with the surrounding areas up to central Jordan. It was discovered 1937 by Fred V. Winnett who named it Thamudic E (Winnett divided his known inscriptions at the time into five rough categories A, B, C, D, E...) Later, Thamudic was renamed to "Hismaic" by Geraldine M.H. King.
