1.08-2.08.2017
The APV of #ACTLAB took place in Tsaghkadzor, 1st- 2nd of August 2017, where nine young people, from each country represented in the project Finland, Poland, Georgia, Norway and Armenia, met to discuss and plan the project and the youth exchanges to come. Most countries were represented by one groupleader and one participant. It was a mixed group with different interests, experiences and backgrounds, which created a very nice atmosphere where everyone could contribute and take part in the planning process with their skills and knowledge.
First we had some time to get to know each other, since not everyone knew each other from before, we also had a short walk around the beautiful neighborhood of Tsaghkadzor and visited a local monastery. Most importantly we spent a lot of time to brainstorm about different ideas to make the project an educational, exciting and fun experience for all participants and actors involved. We prepared a very interesting program for all the exchanges, we discussed different ways to spread and disseminate the project, we came up with many ideas how to involve the local communities and other young people and we discovered new methods and activities to try out during the project.
We spent a lot of time planning the first youth exchange that will take place in the same village, and that will include a local photo-exhibition prepared by the participants. More details to come later. Since the first youth exchange will focus on photography and video we also had a local photographer there to help us with this field.
We are all so excited about the first youth exchange in Armenia, and we are so much looking forward to meet the other participants and kickstart this project!! See you in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia in september
Tsaghkadzor is a spa town and a popular health resort in Armenia, located 50 kilometers north of the capital Yerevan . Tsaghkadzor literally means valley of flowers in Armenian language. The name of Tsaghkadzor is associated with the name of the nearby Tsaghkunyats Mountains, located to the west of the town.
On one hand the town is quite old , it goes back to 3rd century, on the other its quite modern with many leisure centres.
