Carnivals

The Freda Bennett Carnival is a held at Lyneham Hockey Centre, ACT in February each year.

Dates will be determined when we have final team numbers (2021 Friday pm - Sunday pm). 

The Freda Bennett Carnival is a fantastic opportunity for players, umpires and those keen to be involved in Masters Hockey to spend a weekend playing hockey together.

This event relies on volunteers – if you are interested in umpiring or helping over the weekend please complete this umpire and helper form .

The Freda Bennett Carnival is usually run as a round-robin with 3 divisions, depending on numbers will be run over 3 days, Friday to Sunday.

• Div 1 - fast and competitive 

We encourage any O34+ and O40s interested playing at the National Tournament to play Div 1.

• Div 2 - a little slower yet still competitive 

• Div 3 - suitable for those who want a bit of a slower pace 

• Div 4 - suitable for those who want a bit of a slower pace and more of a social focus

All divisions will be capped at a max. of 10 teams. Teams can also have a maximum of two ‘underage’ players (over 30 - under 34)

TEAM NOMINATIONS - and individuals looking for a team (after teams are accepted individual players will be asked to register and pay through RevSport prior to the start of the event.

Final dates will be determined depending on team numbers, one or two days.

The Henstock Indoor Carnival will be held at the TTM National Hockey Centre, 196 Mouat Street, Lyneham ACT. It is a round robin format with 3 divisions (the number of divisions will depend on team nominations) :

• Div 1 - fast and competitive 

Division will be capped at a max. of 8 teams. Teams may have a one ‘underage’ player (over 30 - under 34 )

• Div 2 - a little slower yet still competitive 

Division will be capped at a max. of 8 teams. Teams may have a one ‘underage’ player (over 30 - under 34)

• Div 3 - suitable for those who want a bit of a slower pace and more of a social focus

Divisions will be capped at a max. of 8 teams. NO UNDERAGE PLAYERS IN THIS DIVISION
