Permits Clearing House Cooperative

The County employs a "permit clearing house" cooperative with multiple municipal, County, State and Federal agencies, as well as other public, semi-public and private entities. All the aforementioned parties actively or passively communicate with the Permits Office and Applicant regarding release or approval (permit) of a project or occupancy where and when necessary. This cooperative has been active for decades and refined continuously since its inception. This program facilitates the dialog between applicants or consultants and the respective approval authorities to promote the "one stop shop" concept for information gathering and dialog. This rosters is continuously updated as staffing changes or re-organizations occur and the Permits Office is notified. The roster is audited annually by survey dispatched from the Permits Office to the respective agents included on the document.
