Dr. Ronald Ambe

Dr. Ambe brings extensive experience in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery to the northeast Houston area. After obtaining a bachelor degree in Biology at Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, GA; he then earned his medical degree from Howard University in Washington, DC where he gained membership into AΩA (Honor medical society). Dr. Ambe then completed a residency in General Surgery at Guthrie/ Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He served as staff general surgeon for four years while at Sacred Heart Hospital before pursuing fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at St. Vincent/ Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA. Additionally, Dr. Ambe is board certified in General Surgery and board certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as co-authored a book chapter in Crohn’s Disease: Strictureplasty- Classification, Diagnosis and Treatment Options. He has interests in laparoscopic surgery and anorectal diseases. Dr. Ambe has extended family in Houston, is married and has twins: a daughter and son. He enjoys spending time with family, gardening, photography, chess, tennis and soccer.
