Perform personal assistance services for clients as dictated by client needs/preferences, examples of which include:
Assist in personal care such as lifting, turning, dressing, walking, bathing, changing and using the restroom
Clean all areas used by client including sweeping, dusting, dishwashing, linen changing and laundry
Prepare and administer client meals according to the client’s dietary needs and wants
Errand running for the client, such as deliver bill payments, mail letters and grocery shopping
Transport client in the client’s automobile with proper release form and proof of insurance
Other responsibilities include:
Report any and all violations of client’s rights
Respect the client’s personal property and report any damage, destruction or removal
Complete and submit all documentation as designated in a timely manner.
Maintain client confidentiality at all times
Maintain professional relationships with the clients
Communicate with immediate supervisor of changes in schedule or issues affecting ability to perform assigned duties

What you will do in this role:
Provide personal care to residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with community policy.
Promotes and supports the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
Advises supervising charge nurse of resident’s status at beginning and end of shift.
Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans.
Assist in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
Observes and reports on residents’ conditions, and documents observations as required.
Complies with requirements of procedures for safe lifting and/or safe transfer of residents per established policies and procedures.
Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
Assures that equipment is clean and functional.
Performs incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as may be required to maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
State certification as a nursing assistant
Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nursing assistant
Highly developed observation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Shifts available:
Weekend Doubles / Baylor Plan - work two 7.5-hour shifts from 6am - 10pm on Sat & Sun, get paid for 7.5 "extra hours".
6:00am - 2:00pm
2:00pm - 10:00pm ($1.00/hr Shift Diff paid on this shift)
10:00pm - 6:00am
What You Will Do
Applicants must have a valid CNA certification in Texas along with a valid CPR card.
Put extra covers on beds as requested.
Position bedfast residents in correct and comfortable position.
Assist resident with bowel and bladder functions (i.e., take to bathroom, offer bedpan/urinal, portable commode, etc.
Maintain intake and output records as instructed.
Keep incontinent residents clean and dry.
Check and report bowel movements and character of stools as instructed.
Assist with the application of nonsterile (moist and dry) warm/cold compresses as directed.
Assist in preparing the resident for a physical examination.
Weigh and measure residents as instructed.
Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and respirations (TPRs), as instructed.
Answer resident calls as promptly as feasible.
Ensure that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently.
Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
Assist with the care of the dying resident. Provide post-mortem care as instructed.
Assist residents in preparing for medical tests (i.e., lab work, x-ray, therapy, dental, etc.).
Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programs (i.e., church services, parties, visitors, etc.).
Assist in transporting residents to/from appointments, activity and social programs, etc., as necessary.
Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed.
Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed
