DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Work with your team members to provide excellent healthcare to our patients!
Provide excellent customer service to sick children and their nervous parents
Greet patients/customers
Verify insurance benefits
Input data into EMR
Collect co-payments/deductibles/balances
Answer and manage phones
Conduct end of day balancing
Shifts:
12, 10 and 8 hour shifts
Rotating Weekends
Clinic Hours are as follows: Mon – Fri: 9:00 am – 8:30 pm
Sat-Sun: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Opportunity to travel to other clinics as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of coding, billing, processes and requirements
Knowledge of local payers, to include billing and claims resolution processes
Knowledge in physician practice technology as it relates to creating, transmitting and collecting claims
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, neurology and medical terminology.
Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
Ability to work independently with detail and accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations.
Ability to work in a remote or hybrid work environment.
Ability to work well within a team dynamic.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to use a fax machine, copier and a scanner
Must have a passion for Revenue Cycle and a positive mindset
Bilingual a plus!

Responsibilities
You will manage all front office functions including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones
You will manage filing and retrieving medical records and patient information
You will assist with collecting and recording co-pays (cash and/or charge) including balancing the day in the computer
Qualifications
One year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred
Experience using an EHR system is highly preferred

The Medical Office Front Desk Representative will assist with patient registrations, schedule and confirm appointments and insurance information. The Medical Office Front Desk Representative will also receive and direct phone calls, accept payments for physician services, and greet patients and other visitors.
Job functions
Respond to routine inquiries concerning practice services, hours of operations, and general questions regarding the practice
Receive and direct phone calls
Assist with patient registration duties by collecting and verifying insurance cards and photocopying/scanning appropriate documentation
Verify patient identity and demographics and enter changes into practice management system
Direct patient to appropriate waiting area
Schedule, confirm, and verify patient appointments
Arrange follow-up visits and referral appointments
Verify patient insurance information
Receive, sort, and distribute mail to the appropriate department
Scan patient documents involving insurance information into the EMR system
De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied customers, offering patient assistance and support
Provide clerical support to other departments
Collaborate and work as a team with other departments
Perform other duties as requested

What you will do in this role:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Some computer experience
Knowledge of third-party insurance
Previous medical office experience
Excellent verbal communication skills
Prior customer service representative experience
Duties:
Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler.
Immediately greets and directs patients and visitors and answers telephone calls promptly and courteously.
Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate.
Verifies patient insurance information and updates and maintains patient information in Electronic Medical Record.
Coordinates referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices.
Reviews accounts of scheduled patients for balances and expired referrals and addresses with patient for resolution.
Collects co-payment and balances from patients and reconciles daily cash report.
Receives medical records requests and disability forms.
Records patient communications within the electronic medical record.
