Introduction to the acupressure on child development

The neglected abnormal children development by fledgling parents has been often seen and led to delayed treatment. This weakness can be tackled by using acupressure. It adopts the detection of meridian and the sensation of Qi filed to manipulate the growth and speed of tissue and organ by making use of the influence of multi-oriented mediation on the tissue and organ. However, its success is also dependent on self-powered energy, impartiality, impeccable spirit, technique and ability of practioners and parents’ recognition, support, and eternal persistent and unlimited care for their children.

Use of Acupressure in Childhood Development and Illness

It is of paramount importance to have acute judgment and sufficant knowledge of physiological function and growth process while child growth and disease are treated. The childhood development is divided into three stages, neonate, infants, and children aged 18 years or below. They have in common the characteristics, including unable to express and unaware of abnormnality on self-physiological function. More often then not, the delayed treatment has been seen due to lacking of parents experience in detecting these occult abnormalities before seeking for medical service in the presence of severe symptoms like fever, coughing, diarrhea, coma and so on.

Second, as only the average figure can be referred under the rapid growth of childhood, it is impossible to forecast individual variation on whether the abnormality such as low weight, dwarf, aphadia, difficult to swallow and to be fed, the failure of standing up when truning around can turn into normal state

Acupressure adopt the detection of meridian and the sensation of Qi filed to manipulate the growth and speed of tissue and organ by making use of the influence of multi-oriented medidian on the tissue and organ. The second is that acupressure can initiate sefl-healing, self-reguating, self-reproducing function through Qi to facilitate the shift toward normal function, which can dispense with the reliance on the report from families, make up fledgling parents, identify the origin of causes and latent syndrome, for further fast correction retification and growth of energy.

The context of acupressure” here is to modulate and rectify physical defects by intervening the development of infants and children through fingers and palms embodied with considerable entrophy of “Chi”. The application of acupressure on treating pediatric disease involved with anomaly in development and acquired disease mainly aimed

(1) to derive information on the location and etiology of lesion according to the response to acupressure for the purpose of diagnosis;

(2) to trigger the inheritent repairing mechanism by the stimulation of Qi through acupressure for the purpose of treatment.

Following this principle, the application of acupressure for the treatment of pediatric disease is thus a recursive procedure involving observation, diagnosis, etiology finding, providing Qi stimulation and manipulating the repairing mechanism through the acupoints. During this recursive procedure, the efficacy of treatment and the process of Qi manipulation can be optimized with the observation on the velocity and the improvement of the development. The two applications considering diagnosis and treatment can be effectively applied to pediatric patients at any stage of disease evolution, either acquired or inherited, acute or chronic. This approach has proved to be effective in several pediatrics cases and a qualitative based on the interview of five of them is also included in this issue of journal. The essence to successful outcome including the application of treatment at critical period, the course of treatment, and the cooperation of families. The influential factors for the t provider side including the nature of the Qi of therapist, knowledge on acupressure, experience and familiarity of the therapist are also closely related with the success in treating pediatric patients.

Endowment, temperance, and characteristics of body mind are inherited from genetic compositions of parents. Various factors account for malformation and disease aftermath embryo and birth in contrast to normal body and function. They are classified into two parts, including physiological function and limb morphology. Although both are determined by genetic factors, the maturation of both functions could be modulated with energy exerted by acupressure so as to avoid the defects and insufficiency in the development of infants and children but so doing requires the prequsties for the following functions: Exchange and utilization of circulation and breath of body; dynamic growth in physical and physiological each stage, perhaps week, of infants and children); influences of central and peripheral nerve development on the body of infants and children); rhe mechanism and function regarding visceral structure and physiology of the body ; the development and operation of limb composition and function; reciprocal repercussion of body and mind; the function and growth of each location in brain).

Acupressure is like a sculpture to shape the destined blueprint of a variety of small creatures into a normal physiological and morphological body in a stepwise manner to rectify defects, malformation, retardation, and eliminate detrimental factors. However, the successful performance of acupressure is conditional on the situation of rectification in due time, time, patience, adequate intake of nutrients and education.

Finally, there are two important elements accounting for successful curation of acuprressue. the practioner with self-powered energy, impartiality, impeccable spirit, technique and ability, and parents’ recognition, support, and eternal persistent and unlimited care for their children.
