Curriculum Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the TCTC Curriculum Committee is to:
Evaluate proposals for new programs and courses and changes to existing courses and programs with an emphasis on cross-departmental impact and curricular alignment (stacking, pathways, etc.)
Evaluate the appropriateness of proposals to the college mission, transformative student experience, and strategic plans.
Review curriculum proposals and make recommendations to the Chief Academic Officer.
Make recommendations on policies and procedures related to curriculum.
Share best practices in curriculum design.
Membership
The Curriculum Committee is comprised of voting and non-voting members. Voting members include a committee chair, one representative per academic division, one representative from Comprehensive Studies, and one representative from Corporate and Community Education. Non-voting members include the Director of Academic Development, Curriculum Consultants, Registrar’s Office representative, Financial Aid representative, and other offices as deemed appropriate (for example: learning commons or marketing).
