Respondus LockDown Browser:
This is a custome browser that "locks down" the testing environment within the Learning Management System (LMS) -- when students use this tool, they are unable to print, copy, navigate to another URL, or access other applications.
Respondus LockDown Monitor:
A tool that is acompanion product to LockDown Browser is "Monitor" which enables institutions to protect the integrity of online exams. Students use their own computer and a webcam to record assessment sessions.
Respondus is located within the Learning Management System ("Online Campus"). This contains both the tool itself as well as extensive training materials for both faculty and students:

Sample Syllabus Statement
Some or all graded assessments required in this class will be offered in a remote testing environment. Students may choose to complete the proctored assignment(s) in a remote environment. As part of a test proctoring designed to help ensure the integrity of each student’s testing environment, a student will be asked to conduct a video room scan of the location from which they are taking the test. By choosing to remain enrolled in this asynchronous web section of MATH 1410 C91 (CRN: 82490), registered students either (1) consent to the scan as a condition of participating in the class and taking the assessment remotely or (2) agree to travel to one of the five Columbia State campuses to take the assessment(s) in-person in Testing Services.
Students who do not want to permit a video scan of their testing environment prior to any test and who do not travel to campus to test in-person at one of the College’s Testing Centers should consider selecting another section of the course that permits live on ground testing in a classroom.
[From Cara Sutherland: For Live-Streaming classes, I would change that last sentence to indicate they’d have to travel to a computer lab on one particular campus (Columbia).]
