Udo Zembok is a German-French glass and multimedia artist who has been working with transparent media since the mid-1970s. After studying graphic arts and painting, he began experimenting with kiln-formed glass in Amsterdam, exploring color, light, and transparency. Settling in France in 1978, Zembok has created everything from small glass sculptures to large-scale architectural installations, aiming to create immersive experiences where color and light come alive. Notable works include Open Space at MusVerre Museum, France, and his work has been recognized with awards such as the Prix Liliane Bettencourt and the Coburg Glass Award (Zembok).

Light is the content of color, its origin. I try to recreate light-related qualities of color in my minimal abstract compositions. The perception of these infinite hues helps in building bridges to our exclusively human capacity of feeling as a universal language.
