Crowd sourcing can also be used to create educational content and curriculum which is similar to creating test questions. Online websites, courses, discussion forums, and recommender systems are crowd sourced to form content that will fit the curriculum of a course [Weld]. These techniques can be used to improve examples in the course, add problem sets, and better the overall quality of content. The goal of crowd sourcing content creation is to achieve improved learning outcomes. An experiment was performed to determine if crowd sourcing in an academic environment resulted in the creation of educational content [Suhonjic, 2018]. It was found that the belief that it does was upheld. Older content was edited and created by students participating in the experiment. Furthermore, there are many examples of crowd sourcing for content creation. The Online Textbook Project did so for textbook creation, VidWiki did the same for annotating videos, and AXIS crowd sources for online materials [Jiang, 2018].
