2021 STEP UP
Dear Florida Physics colleagues,
On May 17, May 19, and May 25 Florida STEP-UP Ambassador and Volusia high school physics teacher John Clark will be hosting 1-hour webinars introducing the STEP-UP initiative developed by AAPT and partners. The agenda will include strategies for increasing physics enrollment through two STEP-UP/AAPT created lessons: Careers in Physics and Women in Physics.
Participants will be provided an overview of each student centered lesson. A full set of power point slides and a complete Teachers guide for both lessons is available for download at no cost. For an overview of the STEP-UP program prior to your participation go to the STEP-UP home page. These lesson are a great fit for the post AP exam period, during the first two weeks of a new school year, or during the start of the second semester when students are selecting classes for the following school year. The lessons are well researched and effective. Students will be engaged.
