2015 Fall meeting

November 13 – 14 at UCF in Orlando, FL

Activities will include talks, tours, and workshops for K-12 and higher ed faculty, undergraduates, and graduate students. See the Agenda for details.

K-12 teachers can get up to 6.5 hours for recertification. The Teaching 1st-Year Physics workshop includes a certificate to document your training to reference in your CV or next job application.

Registration

Register for the conference here. The conference is open to all FL-AAPT members. Not a member yet? Annual dues are only $10. Pay online or at the conference.

Educators have already registered from UCF, Eckerd, UF, FSU, Seminole State, Kennesaw State, Santa Fe College, St. Leo, and Palm Beach, Seminole, Pinellas, and Osceola school districts.

Be a Presenter

Lead a workshop, share a classroom strategy, or talk about your research – we are offering a variety of presentation formats. University students, researchers, and K-12 and higher ed faculty, and others are encouraged to submit. Here’s the form.

Lodging

Events will be located at the UCF main campus (map) and nearby. See agenda for details. A limited amount of free housing is available with local attendees. You can indicate that you’re interested (or if you’d like to host a visitor) on the registration form.

Food

Registration fee does not include food, but Friday evening’s activities will be held at a restaurant. Saturday at UCF main campus you may bring your lunch or take a short walk to the food court in the Student Union which has several restaurants open Saturday.
