Davis Square Neighborhood Council

We meet the last Monday of each month at 6 PM in person and remote via Zoom.
Our last meeting was Jan. 26th; our next will be a special meeting on Feb 4th on Zoom only.
Our neighborhood council represents residents and local business owners and workers in Davis Square, Somerville. You don't need experience to get involved; if you live or work in Davis, you're already qualified, so join the conversation!
Our neighborhood's main topic of concern right now is a proposal to develop a major portion of Elm Street. Learn more about the proposal, the process, and how we can participate in the conversation at our next meeting. You can also find out all the details we know by visiting our Google Drive folder on the Copper Mill proposal.
When formed and approved by the city, a “neighborhood council” gives Davis Square residents, business owners, and workers a guaranteed seat at the table when private developers want to reshape Davis Square. We have more work to do before we have formal authority as a neighborhood council.
Some DSNC members are passionate about issues outside the scope of official “neighborhood council” functions, such as Somerville Community Path improvements, pedestrian safety, economic development, supporting the arts, and more. We are pursuing those improvements to Davis Square as a group of residents sharing that vision for the future of our neighborhood.
