Come Participate in SPRING SHOWCASES PLANNING 2025
9848.Gallery Team Announcement:
Call to TRUCKEE ARTIST LOFTS RESIDENTS to show their art in exchange for participate in Gallery operations.
Active participation is encouraged for showcasing Artists work.
Other suggested activites we encourage are and can be counted toward your exchange hours:
distributing flyers,
inviting friends,
hosting visitors,
opening up at 4:00 p.m.,
closing and clean up at 8:00 p.m.,
participation as a team member at scheduled meetings and brainstorm sessions,
lead on theme project (such as Earth Day, Pride Week, etc..
For 2025, this practice of "EXCHANGE" hopes to contribute to the promotion of authentic representation and encourages diversity and engagement within the community.
We welcome all residents to participate in 'your' 9848.Gallery.
There are guidelines and procedures approved by Management to protect your art pieces while hanging in the Showcases.
All applications to participate will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until the available space has been filled. Suggestions for themes can be put in the Lobby Suggestions Box.

DROP OFF FOR ACCEPTED PIECES to be arranged prior to FALL SHOWCASE DATES BEGINNING SEPT. 12, 2024

Sales: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW! Your artwork can be for sale, with you including a 'suggested price.' Please note that sales will not be made for you by any one on the 9848.Gallery Team or TAL Management; and there will be no commissions taken at this time. We are requesting reciprocal-hours-per-piece to help with the Showcase tasks. [ie: 2 hours per piece, or 3 pieces (max) is 6 hours time.] (Yes, there were sales that happened in 2023-2024.)
It is recommended that you provide contact information in the form of business cards, and a small uniform informational card to be hung by your artwork so that interested parties can get in touch with you directly.
We also encourage you to UPDATE your contact information listing and information in our Artist Directory--email these changes to ArtistLoftsGallery@gmail.com

Participation is open to artists of all mediums - visual artists, writers, musicians, performers, poets, sculptors, mosaics, etc., are welcome to showcase their art, talents, and contributions; and it is open to Truckee Artist Lofts Apartment residents of all ages and skill levels. Performances are encouraged and will be scheduled; either during Truckee Thursdays or other evenings.

Short Artist Biography—size 4”x6” preferred -- a few sentences about you! See artist directory for examples.
A brief descriptions of Art—to fit on a size 4”x 6” preferred
Your Artist Listing in Artist Directory on www.9848.Gallery or www.9848Gallery.com –
This Artists Directory listing will include:
1. Photo [.jpg] banner of your art, your full name;
2. description ie. “Short Artist Biography” above. See current samples on website.
3. How to contact you–ie. Email, snail mail, phone# etc. This information will be public, it is a directory for "contact information."
Applications should be emailed to artistloftsgallery@gmail.com or hard copies dropped off in the Managers front office mail slot to our attention. When emailing, please include .jpg photographs of your art. If submitting a paper copy, please provide detailed descriptions of the work and submit physical photos (if possible).
