The 9848.Gallery is proud to announce new offerings being installed for the AUTUMN SHOWCASE 2023 which brings together a gathering of individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences, and representing a wide range of artistic talents and genres.
This AUTUMN SHOWCASE will feature between 15 resident artists specializing in visual arts, musical arts, performing arts, literary arts, and textile design. Each is a unique offering - artists painting in action, music performance, movement, and more. The Showcase will be open from 4–8 pm, during Truckee First Fridays providing ample time for visitors to browse the art on display and meet the artists. We are located where the public transport pick-up and drop-off at Roundhouse Way. Stop by on your way to the other festive events going on. We are also collaborating with several other galleries in town to participate in the Mercants Association special holiday hours.
"We are excited to host these Showcases that bring together such a diverse group of artists," said Sonia Breuch, a spokesperson for 9848.Gallery Committee. "The Artists' Showcase is a testament to the power of art to bring people together, regardless of their background or experience or economic level.” All are welcome.
Each artist can be approached for the sale of their art on an individual basis as sole proprietors. There is an Artists Directory on the website–www.9848.Gallery . The 9848.Gallery @ Truckee Artist Lofts is a cooperative space where current residents come together from different backgrounds to share their passion for art and celebrate individuality through artistic expression.

CRAFTY COURSES AT TRUCKEE ROUNDHOUSE: ...Such as their “Intermediate Surging: Upcycling Mittens” workshop! Learn the basics of serging, then make fingerless mittens out of upcycled sweaters and fleece. Class includes instruction and all materials. Bring your holiday shopping list to the Made in Tahoe Festival, where you’ll find gifts made with love. Local artists, organizations, and vendors make it a day to connect with creative entrepreneurism of the area. Saturday, Oct. 7, and Sunday, Oct. 8, 11:00am–5:00pm. Hear about Truckee’s early Chinese residents from Dr. Sue Fawn Chung, author of In Pursuit of Gold: Chinese American Miners and Merchants in the American West. Listen to her speak about the incentives that brought thousands of Chinese immigrants to the U.S. in the 19th and 20th centuries on PBS ahead of the lecture. The Aspen Collective—a teen-led collective bringing alternative arts and music to Truckee—hosts a band showcase, carnival games and spooky-fun activities. Friday, Oct. 20. Doors at 6:30pm, music at 7:00pm. Truckee Veterans Hall, 10416 High Street. Tickets $13 at the door, $10 with costume.
