Summer Showcases in Session! Rotating Art During Truckee Thursdays!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CALL FOR ARTISTS:
Participate in FALL 2023 Gallery Showcase on AUTUMN ACTIVITIES.
The 9848.Gallery Team is pleased to announce a call for residents to show their art and participate in Gallery operations this Fall - Winter Season.
The Gallery is planning to be open to the public on FIRST FRIDAYS, October 6, 2024; and during the Truckee Halloween Parade, October 27, 2023 where we encourage Halloween themed art. Other dates and times to be announced.
The Gallery Committee would like to ask for your active participation, and encourages showcasing artists as well as fellow residents to consider contributing 2 hours, as a gallery team member, during one of the open 9848.Gallery sessions. This practice contributes to the promotion of authentic representation and encourages diversity and engagement within the community.
Once again, applications to participate will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until the available space has been filled. So far the specific themes are autumn activities and Halloween themes, moving into Thanksgiving and Gratitude.
Similarly to the Debut Showcase, and Truckee Thursdays, you will be expected to transport your art to the gallery at a time and date that will be set in the days leading up to the showtimes. Most likely, the week of September 28, 2023. Pick-up and Drop-off Times to be posted.
Please note that sales will not be made for you by 9848.Gallery Team or TAL Management, and there will be no commissions taken. It is recommended that you provide contact information in the form of business cards, or small uniform card to be hung by your artwork so that interested parties can get in touch with you directly. We also encourage your contact listing and information in our Artist Directory.
Participation is open to artists of all mediums - visual artists, writers, musicians, performers, etc., are welcome to showcase their art, and it is open to Truckee Artist Lofts Apartment residents of all ages and skill levels.
After submitting your interest via email or paper notice, 9848.Gallery Team will follow up about when to drop off your art in the gallery along with your display equipment.
Please note these optional elements you may include with your work in the shows:
Short Artist Biography—size 4”x6” preferred
