STI-Gigaku & HISTORY

What is STI-Gigaku?

STI-Gigaku (The International Conference on "Science of Technology Innovation") is a series of SDGs-focused international conferences mainly organized by Nagaoka University of Technology(NUT) students every year since FY 2016.

The participants are mostly NUT, KOSEN (National Institute of Technology/College of Technology) in Japan, domestic and foreign universities, and companies.

This conference is dedicated to bringing together all the above respective parties in order to achieve Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) by sharing their progress and achievements in education and related research collaboration, and has grown to become one of our most important international conferences as a role in providing opportunities to facilitate the discussion of issues and solutions on global topics such as energy, climate change, and poverty and hunger to bring about changes in the society, in addition to raising the awareness on SDGs nationwide and worldwide.
