Monument Downtown Promotion

One of our MAC goal is to provide a local community-based group that promotes our local businesses and their sponsored events in Downtown Monument.

Please consider joining us as we dig into ways we can help brainstorm and activate!  

Active Work GroupS

• Experience Monument newsletter:  The newsletter focuses on a curated set of experiences in downtown Monument, toward the goal of increasing foot traffic to local businesses.  

  • • Do you have Marketing skills and/or local business interest, and a willingness to volunteer? We would love to have you Join our Working Group!

Brainstorm ideas

• A Downtown (and Hwy 105) business map pamphlet that showcases retail shops and restaurants

• Exploring whether the CO state Arts District program is a good fit (i.e. local art as an economic driver)

• Exploring ways to bring Monument's history to light (i.e. local history as an economic driver)

  • A fun and interesting ghost walk featuring the Monument Cemetery and its history

  • A trail from downtown Monument to Dirty Woman Park with historic information along the way

  • A potato-themed festival or food event

  • Exploring ways to partner with the Palmer Lake Historical Society

• A fun themed progressive dinner featuring local restaurants

• Fun art classes that bring people downtown for art, eating and shopping

• Identify small events downtown every month to bring foot traffic - collaborate with local nonprofit organizations and businesses to identify events and sponsor them

• Low-cost ways to create signage

• Collaborate with OCN (Our Community News) on an Experience Monument Calendar and other projects of interest to the community at large
