A member-powered advocacy group for local placemaking
Our Monument Area Conversations group is modeled after the Local Conversation concept supported by Strong Towns. This advocacy organization supports existing Local Conversations across the US and Canada.
"Strong Towns is replacing America’s postwar pattern of development, the Suburban Experiment, with a pattern of development that is financially strong and resilient. We advocate for cities of all sizes to be safe, livable and inviting. We elevate local government as the highest level of collaboration for people working together in a place, not merely the lowest level in a hierarchy of governments."
Strong Towns is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media advocacy organization
To accelerate change, Strong Towns focuses efforts of five priority campaigns.
