We are influenced by so many things, and those influences are who and what get more of your time. When we surround ourselves to help shape our heart - people who influence us - they can help us grow closer to God or they can steer us away from God. If you are a follower of Jesus, the Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 6:5,
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might."

Think about your Influences. Who are the people, shows, music, or online voices that have the biggest effect on your heart? Are they helping you grow closer to God or pulling you away?
Who in your life encourages you to love and obey God?
Pray and ask God to be aware of who and what influences you. Ask him to put influences in your life that bring you closer to him.
