Crochet hook 4,5 mm
Acrylic yarn 8ply (worsted)
Yarn needle
We work in the round for this project.
Note : this is the list of the material I personally used to produce the square below. It is not compulsory to use the same hook size or the same yarn.
ch - chain
slst - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
tb - treble/triple crochet
qb - quadruple crochet
Start with a magic ring*
ch 3 (equiv. dc), dc 2, [ch 2, dc 3] x3, hdc in the last stitch of the starting chain
[ch 3 (equiv. dc), dc 2] on the hdc, [ch, skip 3, [dc 3, ch 2, dc 3]] x3, dc 3 bs on the starting hdc, ch 2, slst
Fast off.
Note: The number of rows may increase infinitely depending to the projects. The diagram on the right shows the pattern for 4 rows. Simply start a new row like the first and start the next like the second. The main idea is to have two chains in each corner and one chain between two clusters of 3 dc. Note that the number of clusters per edge is equal to the number of the row!

Simply start a new row like the first and start the next like the second. The main idea is to have two chains in each corner. Note that the number of dc on each edge is equal to four times the row number, then remove 1, for instance:
row 1: 1x4-1 = 3
row 2: 2x4-1 = 7
row 3: 3x4-1 = 11, etc...
