Practice each of the PowerPoint Online features and add-on apps as provided below.
After completing each of the PowerPoint Online features and add-on apps complete the Word doc you downloaded (see homepage for link if needed).
Complete the chart below by indicating which area of AT and UDL is supported by the skill area provided through the accessibilty feature of the app.

Home (toolbar)
Ideas
Click on the "Ideas" icon
Select an option for a layout (if desired)
Scroll down to "Search for pictures," and click on it
Type the name of the desired picture(s) in the search box and click "enter"
Scroll through the pictures and double-click on the desired picture
Comic Characters
Click on the "Comic Characters" icon
Follow the onscreen directions
Type in the bubble to enter text
Click "Insert Character"
Enter alt text
Right click on image
Click "Edit Alt Text"
In the pop-up window, review and edit the alt text as desired
Design (toolbar)
Design Ideas
The Design Ideas feature in Microsoft PowerPoint online "examines the content of a selected slide and offers you a variety of design choices based on what it finds. To use this feature, simply select a slide that you think needs some improvement and click on the “Design Ideas” button in the Design tab.
Insert a new slide
Select a layout
Select "Design"
Select "Design Ideas"
Enter a heading
Type in some dates in chronological order
On the right section, you will see some template designs in a timeline format ready for you to select
Insert (toolbar)
Add Icon
Click on "Icon" icon
Search for the desired icon by subject, or type the name of the desired icon in the search box
Click on one or more of the icons, then select "insert"
Be sure to edit the alt text
Emoji Keyboard (Add-In)
Place the cursor over the area you wish to insert the the Emoji
Click the Emoji Keyboard icon
From the pop-up window click on the desired emoji
Scan and Paste (Add-In)
Get free mobile applications from Google Play or App Store
Pair your phone with the following QR code (in the pop-up window) and add pictures to your document
Take photos
Click on the refresh icon
Double-click on the image(s) you wish to insert
Click "Forget Me"
Open OfficeMaps (Add-In)
Place the cursor over the area you wish to insert the Office Map
Click the "Open OfficeMaps" icon
In pop-up window enter the location address, then click "insert"

Use an accessible slide design
Use one of the included accessible themes and templates to make sure that your slide design, colors, contrast, and fonts are accessible for all audiences. They are also designed so that screen readers can more easily read the slide content.
In your browser, go to Office 365 and sign in to your account to open PowerPoint
On the Welcome to PowerPoint page, select More themes
On the Select a theme page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and select Explore all themes
In the Search Office templates text box, type "accessible templates," and press Enter
Select a suitable template from the search results (rephrased entire sentence)
In the template preview window, select Edit in browser
Slide Show (toolbar)
Rehearse with Coach
Click on the "Rehearse with Coach" icon
A pop-up window may appear aksing for permission toi access your microphone. Click "Allow"
A pop-up "Welcome" window will appear
Click "Start Rehearsing"
You will receive live feedback to improve your presenting skills
After progressing through all the slides, a pop-up window will appear with your "Rehearsal Report"
