Who Are We
We are an active and dynamic group, comprising of a Joey-Scout Mob, a Cub-Scout Pack, a Scout Troop, a Venturer Unit and a Rover Crew.
Our group is one of two in the suburb of Bayswater. and one of thirteen in the City of Knox.
Bayswater is situated approximately 30 kilometers east of Melbourne in the State of Victoria, Australia.
All our sections pride themselves in encouraging the OUT in Scout with many activities taking place outside the bounds of the Scout Hall.
Scouting can offer many opportunities to the youth of today, many of which are embraced within the activities of sections.
Free Trial for three weeks for all new members, so what do you have to lose come and join in on the fun.
Group Scarf
The Scout scarf is worn to identify our group.
There is no other like it around.
Unlike most scarves, which usually have stripes, ours is braided with the police chequer pattern.
A lot of effort was gone to in the early 70s to get permission to use the braid and it is one that is greatly sought after in Scouting circles.
It is worn with pride within the group.
2nd/3rd Bayswater Scout Group was formed when 2nd Bayswater (who were the original tenant of the hall and had low numbers) merged with 3rd Bayswater (who shared a different hall with 4th Bayswater, had lots of members). Our scarf comes from 3rd Bayswater. Around 1979-1980.
