Day 13

Santa's Sleigh 2.0

High tech sleigh dashboard

Santa's Got a Brand New Sleigh

Santa's Sleigh Challenge

The Project:

For this project, students were given the task of upgrading Santa's Sleigh to something more modern, more stylish, more efficient, and more comfortable.

The class was divided into five teams. Each group was assigned a Project Manager who was in charge of managing the team's time and making sure members worked well together. The other members of the team could choose to be a designer or a programmer. Designers were in charge of drawing the blueprints for the sleigh and building the structure. Programmers were responsible for using Scratch and Makey Makey to program the tech features for the dashboard.

Through this project, students were able to experience the design process, from coming up with an idea, to drawing plans, and, finally, to building a functional prototype.
