In this video, Piper Greisl explores gender representation throughout the original Star Wars trilogy. Using visual rhetoric created through the films' cinematography and costuming, Greisl examines the nuances of the science fiction film genre's portrayal of women throughout the 1970s and 1980s, as it pertains to George Lucas' cultural behemoth.
Eilish Connolly created this podcast episode as part of her honors augmenting project for LIT 3383: Women in Literature.
