In this piece, “Birdsong and Fragrant Flowers,” she finely uses crayon to depict the stance of lotus flowers blossoming above the water’s surface. A bird is perched atop one flower in this peaceful moment, seemingly reminding us of the need to slow down the pace of our lives.
