Hello, Fellow Fans of Plastic, Monsters, and..... Plastic Monsters!

This site is dedicated to two of my favorite things: monster movies and monster models! Some time ago, I discovered all the reissues of the original 13 Aurora Monster kits my buddies and I built and shared back in the 60's and 70's, and I've had a helluva good time collecting and building them all over again, this time as a really "big kid!"

I've also discovered that there are a lot of other terrific folks out there living happily with their Peter Pan complexes, and I say - Godspeed, you Plastic Emperors! I've really enjoyed looking at other modelers' work, and have learned much from their sites. When I've borrowed content, I've tried to include links back to as many of their sites as I could. Please, let me know if I've missed any, I want to give all credit that is due!

Let me make it clear that I am not a dealer of any of the kits, art, or data I have placed on this site, and I hold no rights to any material here - except my original text and images of my own work, of course. All other characters, images and text are the trademarked / registered / intellectual property of their specific owners and/or creators. I offer this site only as an entertaining information resource. The material here is just data I have been collecting for inspiration and general interest while working on my kits. I needed a convenient way to organize and cross-reference it, and so, a monster site was born. "It's alive! It's alive!!"

That pesky thing called "life" got in the way, and I stepped away from my workbench for well over a decade. During that time, I developed an obsession with paper model design (no workbench needed) and buiding. This led to the creation of a sister site - "The Professor's Paper Empire" (Feel free to check it out if you're interested). But now, I've found my way back to my old haunts, and am enjoying bringing the old website back from the dead.

I hope you get a kick out of looking at my work and perusing my research. If you find an error or enjoy a page, please let me know. I welcome any feedback, be it praise, criticism or vehement indifference.
