We took another step towards a wonderful activity in our school. We made a vegetable garden with the students in our school and worked on compost in the backyard. In this way, we produce our own fertilizer and use it in our own garden. We have already started eating our vegetables.
Liliana Condrache, Kindergarten „Ciupercuta”, Ants group.
The children of the Ants group, Kindergarten „Ciupercuta”, Bucharest,
created their own vegetable garden.
They planted vegetables that they will care for and monitor throughout their development.
We invite you to watch the film about our work.

The teamwork of our students involved beautifying the classroom with a green corner. The students selected the plants based on certain characteristics they found important. They then recorded the basic traits of each plant and explained why they chose to plant it. In the following period, they will monitor how the plants grow and develop, while younger students are tasked with watering them as needed. The students approached this task entirely on their own, and we are very satisfied with their teamwork.
The students independently created images and arranged photo collages, writing a description of each plant so that other students in the school could learn something new.

Classroom/School Garden
The renaturalized courtyard, with its wooden benches and lush green areas, provided a perfect environment for the all-round development of the students.
The carefully maintained terraces and strategically placed compost bins were tangible evidence of the school's commitment to sustainable agriculture.
The insect hotel and fruit trees added additional layers of biodiversity, creating welcoming habitats for a variety of creatures and encouraging an appreciation for nature.
One of the highlights of our class work is our research immersion in the classroom, where we immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of seeds.
The students planted onion, garlic and sunflower seeds. They also made a compost pit
Under the leadership of the TEMA Foundation, we planted trees in the rural area of our region as a class. With the excitement of the trees that will grow alongside us, we learned very special information about nature. We strengthened our environmental awareness with the slogan "Green World." As the Private Ege Atabey Primary School, we had a lot of fun planting our own trees. We invited the Tema volunteers to our class. They provided us with training. Our class became junior Tema volunteers and received a certificate.
