Meet The Team!
Peter Lubembela
Founder and President of 10For10
Peter is a senior Political Science Major, Sociology minor at Howard University, originally from Denver, Colorado by way of Tanzania. He is a graduate of Noel Community Arts High School at Montbello.
Peter is a leader and organizer in both the D.C. and Denver communities. At Howard University, Peter co-founded the Colorado Club to support students from Colorado, and he was recently elected the President of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity inc., Alpha Chapter.
As the founder and president of 10For10, Peter is passionate about uplifting and empowering minority voices. He is an advocate for all of Colorado and he's driven by his passion for Black Lives and for change in his community.
Asia Duncan
Program Director for 10For10
Asia is a senior Legal Communications major, Community Development minor at Howard University, originally from San Diego, California. As a member of Howard's Jewels Incorporated, a mentorship program, Asia serves as the Assistant Site Manager where she is able to facilitate workshops for young urban girls centered around self-care. Asia also serves as a Fellow for the African American Mayors Association, which has enriched her knowledge of local government.
As Programming Director for 10For10, she will place the creation of opportunities for civic engagement at the forefront of her programming strategy, with a continuous effort to leverage and connect with fellow change agents in order to generate sustainable change locally.
Christopher Brady
Chief Finance Officer for 10For10
Chris is a senior Finance Major at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Illinois, Christopher values uplifting his community through service and mentorship. Christopher has professional experience as a Sales and Trading Analyst intern with Bank of America in New York City, and as a Finance intern with Google this past summer. Christopher followed up his successful intern experience with Google by accepting a full time offer with Google as an associate Finance Analyst in the Bay Area of California, following his graduation from Howard this Spring.
As 10For10's CFO, Christopher plans to use his platform to serve as an inspiration and catalyst for personal growth and resilience for youth in underrepresented minority communities.
J'Lynn Terroade
Public Relations Director
J’Lynn Terroade is a junior Psychology Major, Painting Minor at the illustrious Howard University. Born and raised in Denver. At Denver East High School she served on student council as student body president and led a march against gun violence. She was subsequently awarded the Youth Leadership Award from the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. Denver Chapter during her sophomore year of college.
J’Lynn is excited to serve as President for The Howard University Colorado Club, and sit on the Fine Arts Student Council team as an Event Planner.
At Howard University J’Lynn furthered her passion for community work through volunteering with children in an organization called Bison Buddies and serving on the steering committee for the Howard University Alternative Spring Break Program.
Donald McClanahan
National Youth Director
Donald is a recent graduate of Overland High School. Before graduating from Overland, Donald attended Thomas Jefferson High School where he served as a Sergeant at the Junior Recruiting Office Training Cadet (JROTC) program and competed in a National Drill Competition. An artist, Donald was a member of the Overland’s Cecilian Choir.
As a student product of multiple Denver Public Schools, Donald is passionate about helping students in the DPS system and throughout Colorado to use their voice while incorporating the arts.
