Unit 1: Technology, Internet, and AI

AI Prompts 

In Unit 1, I learned how AI tools can help with learning, brainstorming, writing, and problem solving. I practised using prompts to ask questions and get useful responses. I learned that a good prompt should be clear, specific, and include details about what I need. 

One thing I learned is that AI can be helpful, but I should still review the answer and make sure the information is correct. AI is a useful tool, but it should not replace my own thinking and learning.

Web & Internet 

In Unit 1, I also learned more about the web and the internet. I learned that the internet connects computers and devices around the world, while the World Wide Web is a system of websites and web pages that people access through browsers.

I also learned about URLs, websites, and how online information is organised. This helped me understand how websites work and how users move from one page to another.

Evidence: 

For my second piece of evidence, I included a screenshot of my published ePortfolio website open in a web browser with the URL visible in the address bar. This evidence shows that I learned how websites are accessed through browsers and how URLs are used to open specific web pages. It also shows my understanding of website navigation because users can move between pages using links and menus. This connects to Unit 1 because I learned how the internet, World Wide Web, browsers, websites, URLs, links, and navigation work together.

Reflection 

Unit 1 helped me understand how technology, the internet, and AI are connected to everyday learning. I learned that digital tools can make learning easier when they are used carefully and responsibly. This unit also helped me build more confidence using online tools for schoolwork.
