Short Description of the Project:
For this project, we researched how different global communities use and access technology. I completed an individual Word report about Belgium, and then worked with my partner to create a PowerPoint presentation comparing Belgium and Brazil. The project focused on population, languages, climate, technology usage, internet access, and the digital divide.
Locations Chosen:
The two locations for our project were Belgium and Brazil. I researched Belgium, and my partner researched Brazil. We compared both countries to understand how technology access is different based on location, population, infrastructure, income, and digital skills.
One Interesting Fact I Learned
One interesting fact I learned is that high internet access does not always mean equal digital access. Belgium has very high internet access, but some people still struggle because of digital skills, age, education level, or confidence using online services. Brazil also has strong technology use, especially through smartphones, but rural areas and lower-income communities still face access problems.
Artifacts:
For my artifacts, I included my embedded Word report about Belgium and a link to our group PowerPoint presentation. The Word report shows my research about Belgium’s population, languages, climate, technology usage, internet access, and digital divide. The PowerPoint link shows our group comparison of Belgium and Brazil, including the similarities and differences in how both countries use and access technology.

Lessons Learned
Through this project, I learned that technology access is different in every country and that having internet does not always mean everyone can use technology equally. I gained a better understanding of the digital divide and how factors like location, income, education, language, and digital skills can affect technology use. My partner and I collaborated by researching different countries and then combining our findings into one PowerPoint presentation. Working together helped us compare Belgium and Brazil clearly and understand the similarities and differences between the two locations. This project also helped me improve my research, teamwork, and presentation skills.
