This project is about social media and how it affects my daily life and other people. I took a social media addiction quiz, looked at a Pew Research statistic, and wrote about what I learned.
My quiz result said that I use social media a lot, but it is not the worst level. It also said that many adults spend a lot of time on screens every day. This made me think about how much time I spend scrolling on my phone and using apps.

The Pew Research statistic I chose says that nearly half of U.S. teens are online almost all the time. It also says that 9 out of 10 teens use YouTube.
I chose this statistic because it shows that many young people spend a lot of time online. I can relate to this because I also use social media and online apps for talking to people, learning, entertainment, and updates. This statistic made me think that I should balance my online time with school, work, and real life.

I think social media has good and bad effects. It helps people stay connected with friends and family, even if they live far away. It can also help people learn new things, share news, grow a business, and share ideas.
But social media can also be distracting. It can take time away from school, work, and spending time with people in real life. Sometimes people compare themselves to others online, and that can make them feel bad. I think social media is useful if people use it in a smart and balanced way.
I learned that social media can be helpful, but using it too much can affect my focus, time, and mood. I also learned that research statistics show how common social media use is for young people.
This project helped me understand that I should use social media more carefully. I should not let it control my daily routine.
