This is a picture I took of a sunset over a shopping center parking lot. I chose this photo because I liked how the sky looked with the orange and pink colors mixed with the clouds. Even though the photo was taken in a regular parking lot, the sunset made the whole scene look more interesting and peaceful.
For this project, I used this photo as my original image/graphic. I resized the image so it would fit better on my CSIT 101 ePortfolio page and saved it as a JPEG file. This helped me practice working with digital images and thinking about how file size and format matter when uploading media online.
Since this is my own original work, I am sharing it under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 License. This means other people can use or remix my photo as long as they give me credit, do not use it for commercial purposes, and share any new version under the same type of license.

ANIMATED GIF
For my animation, I used a GIF from GIPHY. I found it while searching for a GIF about writing and making a schedule. I chose it because it shows someone working, which connects to school assignments and planning my work.
The GIF is from this link: https://giphy.com/gifs/geek-the-incredibles-writing-schedule-13rQ7rrTrvZXlm
The source is GIPHY, and the original content is from The Incredibles. I did not make any changes to the GIF. The rights belong to the original creator/copyright holder, and I am using it for this CSIT 101 class project with credit to the source.
MP3
For my audio example, I used a keyboard typing sound effect from Pixabay. I found it by searching for a typing sound effect because it connects to computers, schoolwork, and my CSIT 101 digital media project.
The source is Pixabay Sound Effects. The audio is royalty-free under the Pixabay Content License, and attribution is not required. I did not make any changes to the audio.
YOUTUBE VIDEO
For my video example, I used a YouTube video called “Creative Commons Licenses Explanation.” I found it on YouTube while looking for a video about Creative Commons licenses. I chose it because it connects to my CSIT 101 Digital Media project and explains how Creative Commons works.
The source is YouTube: https://youtu.be/2dw9MtyTunU?si=D6aVuVwIR6yfmpj4. The video belongs to the creator who uploaded it. I did not make any changes to the video. The license is the YouTube license shown on the video page, so I am using it only as an embedded video for my class project with credit to the source.
LESSON LEARNED
I learned that I cannot just use anything from the internet without checking who made it. I need to give credit and write the source and license for pictures, GIFs, audio, and videos.
I also learned that Creative Commons makes it easier to know what media I am allowed to use. This project helped me understand how to use digital media in the right way.
