Aims

Through the work in this module you will come to an understanding of what it means to be an Animated Learner in your learning community

Intended Outcomes

By the end of this module, participants will:

• Develop an understanding of animated learners
• Explore implications for learning in their Catholic school environment
• Identify the key dispositions of animated learners in their context

Learning Experience 1 - Animated Learners

1. Unpack the provocation using the blank schema proforma
   • Teams of 3 (you may view the video individually and come together as a team depending on how you are working in the project)
   • Choose one element of the Horizons of Hope Learning Schema each i.e. - one person focuses on animated learners, another powerful teaching, another deep learning
   • View the illustration of practice above ( CAPS video) If you would like to use another illustration of practice, the Catholic Education Melbourne youtube channel has other videos.
   • As you view the illustration of practice, make notes of the evidence of your element of the learning schema
   • In their team of 3, discuss what you saw
     1. Group discussion about any learning about the schema from their team discussion
     2. What elements might be missing that we would hope to see in our Catholic School context?
