HOSA

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a national career and technical student leadership organization endorsed by the US Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE. HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions.

HOSA members are dedicated to serving the community by promoting quality and compassionate healthcare. They do this by organizing and hosting health and science service related events such as blood drives, cancer walks, and other awareness activities. HOSA students are our ambassadors, reaching out to community and industry professionals and promoting our mission. They participate in outreach, exposing middle and elementary school kids as well as parents and teachers to promote health and STEM education. In addition, HOSA leaders participate along with ASB students to assist with school-wide events as well as host, coordinate, and run events within the Bioscience Academy to create a positive and vibrant school culture.

"HOSA not only equipped me with valuable leadership and professional skills, but it also provided me with a community of people to rally around, respect and encourage each other...The meetings were a great time to work and share ideas that contribute to the Foothill or local community, and every student is motivated to make a difference, which is infectious!...It was the highlight of my high school career." ~ Bailey Dent, Undergraduate student at Baylor University.

HOSA students are Bioscience students who want to take on leadership responsibilities to serve the community in the areas of STEM and healthcare. Click right on the photos to preview the good they have done!
