VPAA Visual Arts Audition Workshop at Salem High School.

1993 Sundevil Drive. Virginia Beach, VA. 23464 

This workshop is for students applying to the Visual & Performing Arts Academy in January of 2025. 

You must be in 8th or 9th grade and a Virginia Beach Resident to apply to the program. 

Saturday Dec. 7nd 2024,  10am - 1:30pm 

Workshop check in will start at 9:45am - and student pick up will be at 1:30pm. 

***We have snacks for students but please bring snacks if you have allergies***

In this free workshop, students will rotate through three different sessions: 

1. Portfolio Review - Student shows artwork they will use for their portfolio for feedback. 

*** Please bring artwork for review in person or digitally with a way to show the work.*** 

2. Observational Drawing Session - Start the drawing based on our requirements. 

*** Please bring a phone or camera to take photographs to finish your work at home.*** 

3. Mixed Media Session - Start mixed media experimental pieces for the portfolio. 

*** Students will start work to complete @ home to add to the portfolio submission.***

All other materials needed for each session will be provided for all students.
