Vassar just added two new electric vehicle chargers (four ports total) to South Lot, running on the Chargepoint network. In order to support the expansion of our electric vehicle infrastructure, there are nominal costs for charging. However, Vassar faculty, staff, administrators, and students all qualify for a discounted rate.
To receive the code, please register with the Office of Sustainability by completing this form. Once you receive the code, follow the steps in this guide to register your account and enable reduced-cost charging.
The cost for Vassar-affiliate EV charging is balanced to be as close to at cost as possible, with rates comparable to what it would take for you to charge your vehicle at home.
Vassar's first electric vehicle charger, located behind Josselyn House, remains on the EVConnect network for the time being. Effective July 1, this location will also begin to carry a nominal cost with it to charge. In order to receive the discounted rate, be sure to register your driver account with your vassar.edu email address.
If you don't already have the EVConnect app set up, follow the directions in this guide to begin charging.
