G Suite for Education is a suite of tools that allows students, with their Vancouver School District account log-in, to collaborate, word-process, store and organize all of their documents and files in one place.
Students can access several Google applications that are used to support their learning. This includes Google Drive (with unlimited storage), Google Docs (word processing), Google Classroom (learning management system directed by their teacher), and other useful online learning.
iPad (Tablet)
Step 1: Download the Google Drive app
Step 2: Log in with your district account
Student ID#@student.vansd.org
Password: 8 digit birthdate
Step 3: Download any other application app you may want to use i.e. Google Docs and Google Classroom.
Chrome (via Desktop Computer or Chromebook)
Step 1: Go to drive.google.com and click log-in
Step 2: Enter student’s login information
Student ID#@student.vansd.org
Password: 8 digit birthdate
(Students and parents can obtain their ID# from the classroom teacher if they do not have it or via Skyward.)
Step 3: Students now have access to their Google Drive storage space and can access other applications here.
Note: Not all Google tools are available for students in VPS to use; only the core education suite tools that have been approved.
