This is my fifth year here and I absolutely love middle school. Before Alki, I worked at Roosevelt Elementary for five years, and before becoming a school counselor I was a litigation paralegal for 10 years. (Full-time parenting was my priority for several years too!) I have one daughter, Zoe, who attends college in New York, and one dog, Sammy the Puggle, who seemingly thinks he is human and loves to sleep.

Originally I am from Toledo, Ohio, and went to the University of Cincinnati for my B.A. in Sociology. I moved to Portland in 2006, and obtained my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Lewis & Clark in 2013.

When I am not working, I love travelling, trying new restaurants, reading, dancing to Beyoncé, watching college football (Go Bearcats! Go Buckeyes!) and taking Sammy on long walks. I am so excited to work with the 6th graders this year and help them with the transition from elementary school.
