Rhetoric School Assembly: Thursday, Dr. Marshall will meet with students for the first assembly of the school year. He will explain how study halls, the Commons, lunch periods, phones, and the dress code will work on our new campus. Please ask your student about this important meeting!
Add/Drop in the RS: Your student may make changes to his or her schedule through the conclusion of the school day on Friday, 28 August. Mr. Miller, our academic advisor and college counselor, is available to meet with students throughout the day on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to help them with their course requests. Your student will find him in the mezzanine of the library. On Mondays and Fridays, your student is invited to meet with Kirsten Escobar in Room 107 to discuss schedule changes.
Schedule Changes: As students make changes to their class schedules, we have an opportunity to improve classroom sizes in the Rhetoric School. Over the next few days, we may make adjustments to your student’s schedule so that we can balance enrollment between sections of the same course (i.e., LIT 201: Honors Literature, Year 10). Our goal is to have no more than 18 students in a class section. If your student’s schedule is affected, you will receive an email from Kirsten Escobar, Dean of Academics, explaining the revision to your child’s class schedule.
Open Electives: Please share with your student that these courses have available seats for enrollment this fall semester: Studio Art 1, Studio Art 2 & 3 (combined course), Mock Trial, Self-Defense, and Introduction to Theater. We welcome students meeting with Mr. Miller to see if one of these excellent electives will fit in their fall class schedule.
11th grade Boston/NYC Trip! Here is the link to sign your child and yourself up for the Boston and New York Trip! Signups are due August 27th!!!
