Why the change?
Our previous phone system had reached its "end of life," meaning we could no longer order replacement phones or parts to keep it running reliably. To ensure we can maintain effective communication across all sites, we’ve upgraded to a new system that offers continued support, improved reliability, and access to new features that weren’t available before.
Mitel 6930 is more advanced, geared for higher phone usage, with features like:
Larger color screen
Bluetooth headset pairing
USB for charging devices or connecting accessories
Enhanced call management features
Mitel 6915 is a basic yet modern phone with a clean interface and improved screen and audio
Phone's Get Power and Data from the port they are plugged into
All VoIP phones are configured to a specific ethernet port. Moving one—even within the same classroom to a completely different port—can cause it to stop functioning.
If you would like your phone moved to a different location within your room or office, please Request a Technology Specialist for assistance.
