Google Chromebooks are district equipment and must be treated with respect and care. Below you will find some helpful information while maintaining the integrity of your equipment.
Students are known to pull off keyboard keys, break key brackets and hinges, and damage screens.

Students have been known to intentionally factory reset their Chromebooks. It can be done by pressing a few key strokes.

Chromebooks that reside in a classroom must stay in that classroom. Each individual Chromebook is assigned to a specific classroom and grade level. This allows the Technology Department to monitor and troubleshoot in a timely manner. It also, most importantly, allows the Digital Education Coordinators the ability to send the correct apps and internet settings of the appropriate grade level to these Chromebooks. We've had headphone jacks break off into the Chromebook auxiliary ports as well as USB ports being damaged for not being careful.
Use Caution when plugging and unplugging Chromebooks to power cords. Connectors can easily be bent or broken if you are not focused or in a rush.
Examples of Damaged Chromebook Screens
We've had quite a few instances where we had to fix or replace a Chromebook because it wasn't being carried properly and it was dropped on the floor.
Too much pressure has caused screens to crack when stacking Chromebooks or putting things on top of Chromebooks.
Do not place anything on the keyboard before closing the lid (examples: pens, pencils, notebooks, etc.)
